73 A Review of The Four Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss

This episode is a review of the book "The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich" by Tim Ferriss. It is a skype conversation with a group of friends. The ideas that we discuss include:

  • taking mini-retirements and getting out of a one-track career mentality
  • extended travelling
  • testing new entrepreneurial ideas with sales pages on the web before starting
  • outsourcing tasks to a virtual assistant
  • Tim Ferriss' personality and how it influences the style and content of the book

  1. I liked listening to this. The outsourcing on personal level was thought provoking. Thanks for sharing.

  2. I really like your podcasts but I just have one suggestion when doing book reviews: please focus on the message and not the messenger. The 2 that I've started to listen to so far appeared to dwell mostly on the psychoanalysis of the authors without ever really getting into the topic of the book itself. I had to bail out early... Just a suggestion! Love your podcast otherwise.

  3. Good stuff! I also like personal outsourcing; ANYONE can take advantage of this trend.
